"Last Miracles"
To
live in a tropical country that offers so much ecological variety, with rain
forests, moorlands, deserts, and vast plains, is a source of joy and pride.
Our
rainforests have the most splendid manifestation of life on earth. Many
biologists are inspired to talk about the rainforest as the ecosystem that is
richest in species, where the most complex and fascinating relationships
between living organisms are produced, and likewise, many artists are delighted
with their shapes and designs, with new fauna and flora discoveries, with all
the strength that nature has on our senses, marveling us and becoming a motive
for our inspiration.
All
this leads us to feel sadness when we see that as a collective we are
insensibly preying on so much beauty, terminating our genetic and aesthetic
archive forever. It is therefore important to reconsider, teach young people to
be made aware and care and love this great treasure, in order to continue to be
an important country for its biodiversity for a long time and take advantage of
this heritage to leave it for our descendants as the best legacy.
